Lee Fields & The Expressions + Tank & The Bangas

A soul explosion to farewell the Gardens with gusto.

About

‘Fields struts, croons, shouts and turns on a low, tuneful vulnerability matched at each turn by his terrific band.’

- Paste Magazine

A number of groove merchants vie for the title of king of soul. Lee Fields is one who’ll have you feeling it in the heart, mind and booty. This year’s Gardens’ finale is set to quake and holler - dedicated to hot shoe shufflers of the tousled hair variety –  as we bring you a soul explosion marrying old school with the very new school.

Joining Lee Fields & The Expressions are internet sensations Tank & the Bangas, a rollercoaster of R‘n’B grinders with face-melting harmonies to boot. Capturing imaginations with their breakout NPR Tiny Desk performance, this tour-de -force of vocal sparkle, hums with hip-quaking swag and an irresistibly joyful life force.

It’s a long weekend, Perth – get down!
