‘Radiates an infectious admiration for the courage shown by its heroines in the face of immense obstacles.’
Ordinary people can bring about extraordinary change.
It’s 1971 and in affluent, cozy Switzerland, women do not have the right to vote. Housewife Nora’s sense of injustice stirs when her husband refuses to let her work. In the run-up to a new referendum on women voting, Nora bands together with a rabble of hippies, grannies and other outsiders, and a surprising suffrage movement is born. These women discover old grievances, family secrets and flower power, in a journey as radical as it is every day.
