Transforming young lives through art in education
We believe Western Australian students should have access to remarkable arts experiences irrespective of social, geographic or economic barriers.
Our diverse suite of curriculum-based education initiatives is designed to inspire, motivate and foster a life-long love of learning and engagement with the arts. Through this program, the Festival provides opportunities for primary and secondary school students to participate in excursions, incursions, workshops and to meet and learn from visiting international artists.
Perth Festival’s education program is developed in direct alignment with the curriculum, is outcomes based, and responds to the teaching requirements set by the Education Department. As well as offering student workshops, school visits and subsidised tickets to our performance program, Perth Festival also supports teachers by providing them with curriculum-based tools they can use in the classroom.
Your gift to Perth Festival’s Education Program will ensure we can continue to give thousands of Western Australian students unique opportunities to work with and learn from some of the world’s best artists.
Ticket sales cover only 30% of what it costs to present the Festival each year. The rest is only possible thanks to our generous partners, donors and supporters. Every gift will make a difference in our mission to inspire even more people in Western Australia.
